Concrete Experience

    On the 8th week of our practicum, we were absent from the office for a week in order to comply with our subject requirements in HIS142 and HIS143 through an educational trip to Zamboanga. Before our one-week leave, we informed our supervisors about the upcoming trip and plotted the dates of our possible return to the office. The supervisors agreed and explained the upcoming tasks that we should handle once we returned. We listened to our supervisor and set schedules for what must be done upon our return.

 

Reflective Observation

    Through this experience, I realized the importance of clear communication and professional responsibility in the workplace. Informing our supervisors ahead of time about our educational trip showed respect for organizational policies and helped maintain positive relationships within the office. It made me understand that being transparent and responsible not only ensures smooth workflow but also builds trust and reliability among colleagues and supervisors.


Abstract Conceptualization

    I realized that effective communication and collaboration are important concepts in achieving successful group work. I understood that through teamwork, tasks become easier and more organized, especially when everyone contributes their ideas and skills. I also recognized that planning and coordination are key principles in carrying out research activities smoothly. This experience helped me grasp the importance of participatory approaches in research, where involving community members like the purok chairman makes the study more meaningful and accurate. 


Future Application

    In the future, I will apply these lessons by communicating openly with my supervisors and teammates, especially when planning important activities. I will also make sure to balance work and self-care so I can stay productive and healthy. This will help me do my job better and be a more responsible and dependable person.

David Host Training Establishment (HTE): City Environment and Natural Resources Office Week Number: 15 th  Week Dates Covered: December 1 – December 5, 2025 Submitted on: December 8, 2025   Concrete Experience      In the fifteenth week of our practicum program, we were finally ready to present our main output for CENRO, which was the historical background of the Molok River and the socioeconomic survey of its residents.  I prepared  well and arrived early because it would not be ideal to be late for a presentation of such importance, especially since CENRO Head Sir Allan Marcilla and the entire Water Resources Management Team were expected to attend.
