Concrete Experience
During the 7th Week, I drafted a sample questionnaire to be used for the historical background of the Malok River. After completing it, I met with Ma’am Hannee, one of the faculty members, and requested her to review the questionnaire to ensure that it was appropriate and well organized. Then, I presented the sample questionnaire to the CENRO head, Sir Allan. I felt nervous because the presentation was unexpected, but I listened carefully to his suggestions and noted the parts that needed improvement. Afterwards, I coordinated with my fellow interns to prepare a PowerPoint presentation for the meeting with the seven purok chairman near the Malok River.
When the day came, I attended the meeting and presented the questionnaire to them. Even though I felt anxious, I tried my best to explain the purpose and content clearly. Together, we discussed the plans for the interviews and collected suggestions from the chairman to further modify the questionnaire. We also agreed on a schedule for the interviews and planned to start in the third week of October, considering that we have both the intramurals and the field trip beforehand.
Reflective Observation
I learned that making a questionnaire takes teamwork, patience, and careful planning. I recognized that asking help from Ma’am Hannee and Sir Allan really helped us improve our work. I also noticed that working with the purok chairman is important so that our questions fit the local situation. I found that even though I was nervous during the presentation, it helped me gain confidence in speaking and explaining. I also learned that teamwork with my fellow interns, especially when they helped me prepare the PowerPoint presentation, made the task easier and more organized. I realized that good communication and cooperation make the work easier and more successful.
Abstract Conceptualization
I realized that effective communication and collaboration are important concepts in achieving successful group work. I understood that through teamwork, tasks become easier and more organized, especially when everyone contributes their ideas and skills. I also recognized that planning and coordination are key principles in carrying out research activities smoothly. This experience helped me grasp the importance of participatory approaches in research, where involving community members like the purok chairman makes the study more meaningful and accurate.
Future Application
I will use what I learned about teamwork and good communication in my future projects. I will apply planning and coordination to make my tasks more organized. I will also work together with community members in future research to make it more useful. Lastly, I will ask for feedback from others to help me improve my work.
